Following the forthcoming national non-elective convention of the Peoples Democratic Party holding on the 12th August 2017 in Abuja, the Plateau state chapter of the party has lined up some activities to enable its members participate in the convention.
Consequently, August 8, 2017 has been slated for Local Government Congress to elect three ad-hoc ward delegates while Thursday, August 10, 2017 is for Local Government Congress to elect one national delegate for the national convention.
This was the resolution at the party’s state executive council meeting held at the PDP Secretariat in Jos with many stakeholders in attendance including Senator Jeremiah Useni, Senator Jonah Jang,Senator Victor Lar,Hon. Bitrus Kaze among other serving and former legislators as well as former political office holders from the party.
At the end of the meeting, a statement signed by the party’s state Publicity Secretary,John Akans and made available to JAY FM in Jos directed all the 17 Local Government Party Chairmen to mobilize their members for the exercises.
