Residents of Jos and environs have started groaning over epileptic power supply to the state.
Correspondent JAMES ABRAHAM reports that the incessant power outage have for some months continued unabated virtually in all part of Jos metropolis with some affected residents complaining over poor supply to their communities while others are in total darkness
The residents who spoke with JAY FM from different communities in Jos on Monday wondered why they were made to pay for services not rendered by the Jos Electricity Distribution Company and called on the management to improve on its services to justify the bills being paid by electricity consumers.
Speaking on the challenge of power outage and poor power supply to Jos metropolis, the Head of Corporate Communications of JEDC ,Elijah Friday said the problem is not peculiar to Plateau state as it is a nationwide problem due to low generation of power from the national grid.
Elijah also spoke on other challenges they are facing in the power sector and efforts being made to solve the problem of power outage in Jos and other parts of the country.
