The persistent flooding being witnessed in many parts of Ray-field community in Jos has prompted residents in the high-brow area to cry out over the danger posed by flood menace whenever it rains.
Following the development, it was observed that several houses have been abandoned by their owners raising fears of being turned into hiding places for criminal elements.
Some residents who spoke with JAY FM in Jos at the week end over the situation lamented that most persons are either trapped in their homes or forced to stay indoors whenever it rains.
The residents who particularly pointed out the worrisome situation at the Round About , near Corporate Affairs Commission’s office any time there down pour ,claimed that the flood situation became worse as a result new houses being erected in different part of the area without consideration to water ways and drainages
Correspondent JAMES ABRAHAM reports that the residents are appealing to the state Governor, Simon Lalong to come to their aid by tackling the flood menace in their community.
