Senator Shehu Sani, has said President Muhammadu Buhari should release the report of the Yemi Osinbajo-led committee on Babachir Lawal, suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
The report concerns alleged corruption in the finances of internally displaced persons (IDPs) camps in the North East.
Sani is the Chairman of Senate Committee on Humanitarian Crisis in the North East and a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The senator warned that further delay to make the report available to Nigerians would tarnish the integrity, reputation and credibility of President Buhari himself.
He said keeping Nigerians in the dark over the findings of the panel posed a serious threat to the survival of the APC beyond 2019.
The senator said the fight against corruption should not be limited to people in the opposition parties alone, but be extended to members of the APC to show Nigerians that the party meant well for the people.
