As the forthcoming Local Government Election in Plateau State draws near, Senator representing Plateau North in the National Assembly, Jonah David Jang has lauded the efforts being made by the Peoples Democratic Party in Plateau State to reposition the Party for greater heights, describing it as a sign of better things to come .
In a statement which he personally signed and made available to JAY FM in Jos, the former Governor expressed happiness particularly with the party leadership at all levels not only for their dedication and commitment towards a free and fair primary elections ,but also at ensuring that the Party presents credible candidates for both the Chairmanship and Councillorship positions.
Jang also extolled the maturity and impressive conduct of party members, supporters and other stakeholders at various Local Government Areas and Wards which made it possible for some of them to embrace consensus option and unanimously present sole candidates before the anticipated primaries.
According to Jang, the democratic trend was most welcome and should spread like Harmmattan in the conduct of party affairs for more unity and common sense of purpose among the people
While calling on all aspirants and supporters to be courteous to one another and peaceful during campaigns without bitterness and acrimony, Senator Jang also enjoined them to be prepared to work for whoever emerges after the Primaries for the good of the party and the state.
He also made it clear that he has no favorites during the forthcoming elections maintaining that his love and blessings are for all the aspirants and contestants
