The senator representing Plateau north at the National assembly has condemned the spate of insecurity across the country, blaming it on the collapse of the country’s security structure.
He said in situation where people commit offences and no arrest are made, The country seems like a lawless society.
The senator made his position known at plenary on Wednesday while contributing to a motion on the spate of insecurity in the country.
The senator decried the incessant spate of killings that has gone on for far too long, adding that as a former governor of plateau state for eight years he has experienced this first hand.
He said the issue of insecurity in the country has become a thing of national concern, and should be treated as such
He lamented the situation where unidentified herdsmen keep finding their way to states without being spotted by security.
