Boko Haram attacks another military base in Borno

Boko Haram terrorists have staged a fresh attack on a military base in Baga in the Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State, a day after they invaded Gudumbali area in the Guzamala Local Government Area and sacked the residents.
The Nigerian Army on Sunday confirmed the terror attack on Gudumbali, saying that its combined troops of 82 Division Task Force Brigade and 158 Task Force Battalion repelled the attack and were restoring normalcy in the area.
The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig Gen Texas Chukwu, said the terrorists “set some buildings ablaze in the community but no casualty was recorded.” the Boko Haram insurgents on Saturday overran the troops’ location in Gudumbali and displaced the residents to Gubio town.
Eyewitnesses said the terrorists captured the community after trooping into the areas in large numbers and shooting sporadically which sent thousands of residents fleeing.
