Retirees tackle Plateau over N18bn gratuity, pension

The  Plateau State House of Assembly  was on Tuesday told   how retirees in the state were being owed pensions and gratuities to the tune of N18bn.

The lawmaker representing Jos South Constituency, Mr  Dalyop  Gwottson,   said this when he presented a motion of urgent public importance during  plenary  on Tuesday.

The Lawmaker  called on the  state government to urgently pay the retirees their benefits.

Jay FM gathered that  the backlog of the gratuity and pension   dates  back from 2005.

The  PDP  lawmaker also called on the Assembly to  prevail  on the state government to direct the relevant agencies to pay the  retirees.
