Residents call for help as gunmen kill three siblings, two women in Bassa communities

Communities in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau state are expressing concern over renewed attacks and killings by gunmen in their domains while calling on the state government and security agencies to come to their aid

Jay FM gathered on Thursday that the fresh security concern by the people followed two separate attacks in Kwal District by suspected herdsmen in which five people were killed on Tuesday night.

Our correspondent learnt  on Thursday that the incidents occurred  in Kperie and Gbra Zongo communities.

It was  also  learnt that the gangsters  killed three children   from the same family in Gbra Zongo  before moving to the neighbouring  Kperie  to  kill the other two women.

An uncle of  the  slain  children, who   identified  himself   as Danjuma Anthony,  confirmed the killings in Gbra Zongo   to our correspondent in Jos.

He named the  children  as Rachel (six),  Jacob (three) and Charity (one).

Anthony said, the unprovoked attack and killing of innocent children only shows the level of insecurity the  people are facing in the community.
A youth leader in Kperie, Rogo Friday,  confirmed the killing of two women in the  community and called on the government to take the issue of security of the people more serious so as to forestall a recurrence
