Ferdinand is a Plateau State based firebrand Sports Journalist who has been highly critical of Sports Administration in Nigeria over the years and to him,Sports Journalists in Nigeria owe it a point of duty to continue to be noisy with the facts of the wrong steps for the right results to be achieved.
Ferdinand is a member, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, and has been very active in Sporting Journalism in the last 17 years, starting as a teenager in 1999.
Ferdinand started as an outside contributor with Sporting Champion Newspaper in 1999 which use to be a weekly Sports tabloid back in the days. From there he got a job as an in-house Sports Analyst with the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA, in 2001 and in 2002 worked as a weekly Columnist with Plateau State-owned newspaper, the Nigeria Standard newspaper.
He maintained the column for two years and switched from print media to broadcasting following his being employed by the Plateau Radio and Television Corporation, PRTVC, in 2004 where he anchored his own TV Sports show, "29 Sports", a 30 minutes Sports show, once every week.
Later same year (2004), Ferdinand moved to Raypower 100.5 FM and Africa Independent Television, AIT, where he worked for three years between 2004 and 2007.
In 2007 he returned to Peace 90.5 FM and Co-anchored Sports Update alongside Jerry Udoh and Ayodeji Ajayi.
In 2011 PRTVC decided to run a daily 30 minutes Sports Show on radio, "Surplus Sports", and Ferdinand successfully ran the show consistently for five years between July 1, 2011 to August 19, 2016 from where he joined up with Jay101.9fm.
Besides his media related businesses, Ferdinand is the Vice President of MJP BIZSPORTS LTD, and a member, Board of directors in two other Companies, HILLSAINT GLOBAL SPORTS LTD, and KNOW-EXTRA LTD, Publishers and bookselling Company.
