President Donald Trump of the United States of America, U.S.A, has told Prince Harry and his wife Meghan that they will pay for their security if they live in the U.S.
Trump insists the U.S government will not pay to secure the senior British royals.
Harry, who is sixth in line to the British throne, married an American actress Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle in May 2018.
The couple later found the constant scrutiny and invasion by the British media, harassing and intolerable.
In January 2020, they announced plans to quit as senior British royals, pursue financial independence for themselves and move to Canada.
Harry and Meghan have since lived in Canada’s Vancouver Island, until Last month when the country’s authorities said they would stop paying the couple’s security personnel, once they ceased to be working royals.
Mary-Liz Power, Spokeswoman for Canada’s Safety Ministry, said last month that ‘the assistance will cease in the coming weeks, in keeping with their change in status.
There are unconfirmed reports that Harry and Meghan and their 10-month-old son Archie recently flew to Los Angeles, U.S A, where Meghan was born and raised.
And responding to reports that the couple has moved to California, Trump tweeted on Sunday, “I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada. Now they have left Canada for the U.S. However, the U.S. will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!”
