Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state has again relaxed the total lock down earlier imposed in the state
The Governor,in a broadcast to the people of the state on Thurday also maintained that the state had recorded no confirmed case of coronavirus.
He said the relaxation of the lock down ,which is meant for the citizens to restock their homes would last for three days beginning from Thursday midnight to Sunday Midnight, after which another round of total lock down will commence
The Governor who did not disclose the details of the next phase of lock down maintained that the earlier restrictions on crowd gathering in worship places and markets, among other places still remain.
He also warned those violating the directives of government on coronavirus particularly tricycles operators to desist from doing so to avoid heavy sanctions
While acknowledging that Government is aware of the hardship being faced by the citizens particularly the vulnerable and weak,the Governor said the palliative Committee headed by the Deputy Governor Prof. Sonni Tyoden will commence distribution to those who are truly in need by Saturday 25th April 2020.
He advised the citizens to use Face Masks as often as possible especially where they are in contact with others in order to cut down chances of infection and transmission of COVID-19.
