PDP expels 7 member caretaker committee in Plateau

The Peoples Democratic Party in Plateau state has expelled the seven -member caretaker committee led by a former council chairman in the state,  Nandon Pyennap.  Head of media of the party’s  caretaker committee, John Akans disclosed this in a statement in Jos  on Thursday.

Akans said that the decision to expel the party members  was taken during an emergency meeting of the party’s Caretaker committee held on  the 4th day of June 2020. According to the statement, those expelled from the party  include Hon Nandom Pyennap Exodus; Godwin Bedir and Akims Mamo James; Others were Mrs Asabe Dareng; Nathaniel Dakas ;Jecob Dashed as well as  Alh Kabiru Musa.

Jay FM  reports that Pyennap’s led committee backed by a former Governorship candidate of the party,Jeremiah Useni was formed as a parallel exco in defiance  to the one constituted by the National Working Committee of the party and led by Yakubu Chocho

Some stakeholders of the party who reacted to the expulsion of the party members describe the action as a right step in the right direction.  They called on the State Caretaker committee led by Yakubu Chocho not to be distracted by the antics of a few individuals who did not mean well for the party but to remain focused in its efforts to take Plateau PDP to the promised land
