29 new cases Reported In Lagos, Rivers State.

Rivers and Lagos states have recorded 29 new COVID-19 infections, according to figures released on Tuesday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.

The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Tuesday.

According to the NCDC, Lagos reported 18 new cases, while Rivers reported 11 new infections.

It says the 29 new COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed cases in the country to 165,807.

The health agency said, “Today’s report includes 0 cases from Plateau, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Sokoto, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti, and Imo States. FCT is yet to report.

NCDC also disclosed further that no new COVID-19-related death was recorded in the country, noting that the death toll still stood at 2,067 deaths.

The agency equally confirmed that 156,420 cases have recovered and discharged.

It said that a multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 3, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
