Amidst economic hardship, Federal lawmaker empowers 4,500 constituents in Plateau

Concerned by the growing economic hardship in the country occasioned by fuel subsidy removal , the Senator Representing Plateau Central , Diket Plang, has empowered over 4,500 members of his constituency to cushion the effect.
Senator Plang, who is also the chairman of the Senate Committee on Labor and Employment, and Productivity, told journalists during the flag-off of the empowerment program in Mangu local government area of the state said the exercise, which involved the disbursement of funds and training, was meant to cover the five local governments within the senatorial district.
He pointed out that the program was part of his efforts to complement the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to alleviate the suffering of the people, especially the victims of the recent crisis in his constituency.
Senator Plang who had earlier visited Kanam local government area on a courtesy call on the Emir of Kanam, His royal highness, Alh Muhammadu Mu’azu Muhammadu lll, to intimate the Royal Father with his mission on the federal government policies called on the people to continue to pray for the country especially those in leadership positions.
Responding, the monarch appreciated the senator for his prompt intervention in coming up with the empowerment program which will go a long way to cushion the pains of the targeted beneficiaries, while enjoining the senator to target massive youth empowerment in the area.
