CBN debunks claims of Naira devaluation

The Central Bank of Nigeria has debunked the claim that it has devalued the naira.
A single tweet by the CBN this morning stated that CBN did not devalue the Naira.
Correspondingly, acting Director, Corporate Communication CBN, Dr. Isa AbdulMumin in a statement titled, “CBN Has Not Devalued the Naira”, advised the public to ignore the news report in its entirety, saying it is speculative and calculated at causing panic in the market.
A national daily had earlier reported that the CBN devalued the naira to N630 to $1 from N461.6.
