Claim  NLC President, Ajearo was brutalised again FALSE

A social media user, Mohammed Jammal with the handle @whitenigerian on X(formerly twitter) claims that the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Joe Ajearo has been brutalised for a second time.

The claim, which recently went viral on the microblogging platform, has gained over 300 Thousand views and over 700 comments.

It would be recalled that on November 1 the NLC leader was attacked in Owerri the Imo State capital during a protest over alleged maltreatment of workers in the state.

However, the recent claim suggests that the labour leader has been brutalised again amid plans of an industrial action.

Accompanied with a photo, the claim reads: “this guy got beaten twice 💔”

CLAIM

NLC President, Ajearo has been brutalised for a second time.

FINDINGS

Findings show that the claim is FALSE.

In verifying the claim, the image was subjected to Google lens and results show that the image is doctored.

The image is a manipulated version of an actual image taken after the November 1 incident which shows Ajearo in the same outfits, at the same location and maintaining the same posture.

Also, the labour leader was not captured with a bandage wrapped around his head at any point as indicated in the doctored image.

Further findings did not trace the claim to any credibility and reliable news sources, thereby invalidating the claim.

VERDICT 
The claim that NLC President, Ajearo was brutalised again is FALSE, evidence shows that the image used is manipulated.
