COVID-19: 203 New Cases And 28 Deaths FCT And Five Other States

Benue recorded the highest figures for new infections by reporting 178 new cases, Lagos – 10, Ondo – 6, FCT–4, Kaduna – 4, while Plateau reported one new infection.
The NCDC says this latest report includes: “Backlog of data from Benue and Nasarawa States recorded from February to May 2021 and 0 cases recorded from Ekiti, Enugu, Kano, Nasarawa, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Rivers, and Sokoto States,”.
According to the health agency, the 203 new COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 166,518.
The health agency also noted that 158,781 COVID-19 patients have so far recovered and have been discharged in the country.
The NCDC also reported 28 new COVID-19 related death, noting that the toll from the virus is now 2,099.
It said that a multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 3, had continued to coordinate the national response activities
Five states and the Federal Capital Territory and have recorded 203 new COVID-19 infections, according to figures released on Monday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
The agency also reported 28 new COVID-19 related deaths.
The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Monday.
According to the NCDC, the 203 new cases were recorded from the FCT and five other states.
