COVID-19 report:42 New Cases In Lagos, FCT, And Six Other States.

 Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory and six other states have recorded 42 new COVID-19 infections, according to figures released on Monday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.

The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Monday.

According to the NCDC, the 42 new cases were recorded from seven states and the FCT.

Lagos reported 14 new cases, Gombe-11, Ebonyi-5, Kano-5, FCT-4, while Edo, Kaduna and Rivers state each reported one new infection.

The NCDC says this latest report includes: “cases from Plateau, Nasarawa and Sokoto States”.

According to the health agency, the 42 new COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 166,061.

The health agency also noted that 156,492 COVID-19 patients have so far recovered and have been discharged in the country.

The NCDC also reported no new COVID-19 related death, noting that the toll from the virus is still 2,067.

It said that a multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 3, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
