Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara is calling on President Bola Tinubu to pursue oil cabals and bring them to book.
He made the call on the sidelines of a Thanksgiving Church service in honour of the out-going General Secretary of Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA, in Kaduna state, Reverend Yunusa Nmadu.
The former Speaker says the President has so far demonstrated leadership and should be commended by all citizens.
He is however, insisting that the President should ensure that all the looted funds are recovered from the oil cabals.
Barely a month after deregulation, operators in the downstream sector have not been able to import petrol into Nigeria, due mainly to a lack of license and foreign exchange.
Reports have indicated that many oil marketers who applied for license are still waiting for the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA, to release it.
It also gathered that the six companies, including Eterna, which got the license have not started importing the product into the country.
Despite the floatation of foreign exchange rates by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, many oil companies reportedly still find it difficult to go into business.
