Ezekwesili demands independent investigation of candidate over alleged result forgery

Written by on July 4, 2023

A former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili is calling for an independent investigation into the claims made by Ejikeme Mmesoma, an Anambra candidate who was accused of forging her 2023 UTME result by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.

The former minister in a post made via her official Twitter handle @obyezeks says  the saga between Mmesoma Ejikeme and JAMB requires an Independent Tech investigation to uncover all facts.

Ezekwesili who says she has reached out to the Registrar of JAMB insists that it is only reasonable to request a forsensic investigation to help reveal what happened.

Ejikeme in a video released yesterday claimed she printed the alleged fake result from the JAMB portal.

The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, is saying that Nigerians will be shocked if the board decides to reveal the details of the alleged forgery perpetrated by Mmesoma Ejikeme.

Oloyede notes that the result paraded by Ejikeme was the template for a student who sat UTME two years ago.

In an interview with a print media outlet, the former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin says, if the code is scanned, the candidate’s result will show, and says emphatically that the candidate is parading a fake result.

He further says it is either she is being duped, or she is part of a syndicate manufacturing purported JAMB results.
