Fayose says Wike must serve in Tinubu’s Government

Written by on July 10, 2023

The former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose is saying that members of the G5 or Integrity Group within the Peoples Democratic Party should be appreciated by President Bola Tinubu for the role they played in his victory at the February 25, 2023 presidential election.

Fayose says ex-Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike has what it takes to be a minister and must serve in the Tinubu’s government.

He says the G5 has no intention of crossing over from the PDP to the ruling, APC, but maintains that the PDP leadership must put its house in order.

In the same light, former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has disclosed that he worked against his party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in the February 25, 2023 election.

Fayose who met the President at Aso Villa in Abuja, on Thursday, July 6, 2023, expressed his grievances with the PDP.

He says the party suspended him and his son, Oluwajomiloju, despite suffering tremendously for the party.

The ex-governor, the Integrity Group, says his party played games with Nigerians by giving its presidential ticket to Atiku, an ex-Vice President who is from Adamawa State in North-East Nigeria.

Fayose argues that with the expiration of the two-term tenure of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, who is also from the North, a Southern Nigerian should be the next President of the country
