Federal Government asks NLC and TUC to shelve nationwide strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities has written to all zonal coordinators and chairpersons of the union demanding that members be mobilized for the nationwide strike in line with the directive from the NLC and TUC.
The letter which was signed by ASUU’s National President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, was issued last night.
ASUU notes that the Nigeria Labor Congress at a Joint National Executive Council of NLC and TUC directed all affiliate unions to commence withdrawal of services with effect from 12 midnight of November 13, 2023.
