The Federal Government is saying that Egypt has opened its borders to Nigerians fleeing conflict-hit Sudan.
In an update shared on Twitter, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM, says an Air Force plane was already on the ground in Aswan, Egypt, adding that the processing of the first set of evacuees would begin.
The development comes hours after a tweet by NIDCOM, saying the Egyptian border was still not opened for Nigerian students.
It however states that the Nigeria Air Force is ready with the NAF C 130 having landed at Aswan Airport, to evacuate Nigerian students.
