The Pankshin unit of the Federal Road Safety Corp in Plateau state says it has convicted fifty six drivers for various offences using its mobile courts.
The Commander of the unit ,Nnamdi Akeh-Akabo who disclosed this to newsmen at the week end said a total of sixty three drivers were arrested and tried out of which seven were discharged while 56 were sentenced after being found guilty.
According to him, ninety offences were identified including driving without valid license, overloading, non-use of Speed Limit Device, among others.
Stressing that FRSC was determined to make the roads accident free ,the commander said that the mobile court in
Pankshin would be strengthened to deal with drivers that disobeyed traffic rules and regulations, and warned those fond of flouting the laws to desist from doing so in their own interest.
