Ganduje says Uzodimma and Ododo’s victories show Nigeria appreciate good governance

Written by on November 13, 2023

The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, appears to see nothing wrong with the off-season elections conducted by INEC.

This is as he has congratulated Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State on his re-election in the Saturday off-cycle governorship poll in the state.

Ganduje also expressed happiness with the overwhelming support exhibited by the electorate in Kogi State in electing Alhaji Usman Ododo in the state governorship poll.

The APC national chairman, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, says the electoral feats of both Uzodimma and Ododo reinforced the fact that Nigerians are well at home with the APC.

Ganduje also says the victory by the APC in both states underlines Nigeria’s satisfaction with democracy dividends by Uzodimma of Imo State and the outgoing Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello.

Devoid of political differences, the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has congratulated Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State on his victory at the just-concluded governorship election held last Saturday, November 11, 2023.

Following the victory, Soludo while congratulating Uzodimma, urges him to be magnanimous in victory by extending a hand of fellowship to his co-contesters.

The Returning Officer for the election, Professor Abayomi Fasina, announced the results yesterday, November 11 where he declared Uzodimma of the APC as the winner with total votes of 540,308 to defeat his closest rival, Samuel Anyanwu of the PDP, who came second with total votes of 71,503.
