Governor Lalong Creates New Official Twitter Account.

Following the suspension of the Plateau State Governor’s Twitter handle, to further strengthen communication ties with the citizens of the state, Simon Bako Lalong has created a new Twitter account with their username @LalongBako.

The Director General of the Plateau State Information and Communication Technology Development Agency, David Daser disclosed this via a tweet.

He tweeted, “note that the official Twitter handle of the Governor of Plateau state is @LalongBako”. This development has come under both negative and positive reactions, with some Twitter users decrying the inconsistency of the Governor’s team to keep and manage Twitter handles why another faction commended the Governor for ensuring to reach out to citizens via every available media.

As at press time, no official statement has been released as to why the Governor’s previous Twitter handle (@sblalong) was suspended. In his first tweet, Mr Lalong advised citizens to “think Plateau, act Plateau”.
