Governor Ortom alleges plot to eliminate him

In the meantime, Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom is alleging that there is a grand plot to eliminate him.
Since the reported bombing of herders by the Nigerian Air force, the governor has come under intense pressure as the herders were said to be on their way to Nassarawa state from the neighboring Benue.
The former Emir of Kano and a host of other prominent individuals have condemned the incident, calling for a probe into the matter.
In an interview on a national television as monitored by our correspondent, the governor accused certain unnamed elements of harboring plans to eliminate him.
He also alleges that the real agenda of some herders is not to graze but cause mayhem
