The Plateau state Youth Council, Coalition of Plateau State Indigenous Youths and YOWICAN has condemned the arrangements by the management of the Jos Museum to commemorate the “International Museum Day” despite the spate of attacks in the state.
The International Museum Day is commemorated every 18th Day of May to highlight the relevance of Museums.
In a statement by the Plateau state Youth Council Chairman, Lot Adas, at the end of its joint emergency meeting, the Leaderships resolved that in light of the ongoing attacks the International Museum Day will not be commemorated in Plateau State
They are also calling on all Plateau Youths to come out en mass and converge at the Museum center, Jos to shut the venue of the event as well as to ensure full compliance by the management of the Museum and the organizers.
