Written by on March 6, 2023

It was gathered that the gunmen, numbering about twenty, invaded the community at the late hours of Saturday, shooting sporadically to disorganize the people before they attacked the resident clergyman.

Sources say the gunmen suspected to be Fulani militia were on a reprisal attack as a result of the killings of three Fulani youths in the area a few days ago.

The Plateau state police command is however, yet to confirm

Still in the home front and on a related development, the Plateau State Police Command has detained one of its officers for shooting a young man over political argument.

The officer whose name was given as Solomon Damak is being detained at a police facility in Jos while his orderly room trial will commence today.

The victim, identified as Nyommena Badapba, said to be a resident of the Tudun Wada community, was shot in his shoulder yesterday during an argument with the policeman.

The argument was based on who will win the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
