House of Representatives to revisit women rights bill

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, is saying that bills supporting women’s rights and inclusion that failed to scale through in the 9th Assembly would not be rejected again in the 10th National Assembly.
Kalu made the promise during the 40th anniversary of NEWS Engineering Limited and the launch of the NEWS 40/40 Leadership Development Fellowship, held in Abuja.
He expressed his commitment to championing the cause of women’s rights and empowerment and ensuring their representation in legislative processes.
He emphasized the need for Nigeria to recognise and appreciate the power of women.
