Irigwe Youths Protest Over Continuous killings

The coalition of Irigwe youths, ethnic youth nationalities from the northern zone, the Christian Association of Nigeria, Plateau State chapter, youth, and women wings today gathered at the new government house protesting the continued killings in Bassa communities.
Led by the National President of the Irigwe Youth movement Ezekiel Peter Bini, the residents are calling on the government to show commitment to securing the lives and properties of their people.
He said the continuous killings have forced the Irigwe people and other groups on Plateau to come out in protest to let the government and the world know what is going on the need to put an immediate stop to the situation
The secretary to the state government Danladi Atu, while addressing the protesters stated that the state government is working on resolving the killings in Irigwe land to bring lasting peace to the communities.
Earlier, Gunmen suspected to be herdsmen attacked another community in Bassa council of Plateau State, killing three-person and injuring one.
Jayfm gathered that the attack on Ariri, a village in Irigwe chiefdom of Miango district, took place about 1.30 am on Tuesday. About 25 houses were reportedly set ablaze by the invaders.
Recently, about 10 persons were killed and 19 injured in Zerreci community, also in Bassa council.
