Jang cautions against using religion to forment trouble in Plateau

a former Governor of Plateau state, Jonah Jang is advising religious leaders to allow the electorates to vote for credible candidates to usher in good governance in Plateau state and Nigeria at large.
Senator Jang gave the advice in an interview with Jay FM following claims of manipulations by some religious leaders of their followers ahead of the governorship and state Assembly elections.
He acknowledges the critical role which religious leaders play in the area of peace and stability in any society.
The elder statesman particularly cautions Sheikh Yahaya Jingir, leader of the Council of Ulama of the Jama’atul Izalatul Bidi’a Walikatis Sunna, whose headquarters is in Jos, not to use his position to cause trouble in Plateau state.
Jang maintains that Plateau belongs to the people of the state, urging them to vote only for the candidates that will protect their interest and bring development to the state for the good of all the citizens
