JED alerts Plateau, Bauchi and Gombe citizens of impending blackout for six days

Jos Electricity Distribution Company, JEDC, has announced that its customers in Plateau, Bauchi, and Gombe states would experience power outages from August 28 that is, today to September 2nd.
The planned outage will last from 9 am to 5 pm daily for the six days.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the company’s Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Friday Elijah, at the weekend in Jos.
Speaking to JayFm on the development, Elijah explained that the planned outage by the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, was to enable its local engineering, procurement, and construction contractors to make installations.
This is as he urges customers to be patient and bear with the situation, assuring that the exercise will improve services in the aftermath.
