Lalong, Stakeholders in Plateau appreciate JAY FM on preparation towards credible poll in 2019.
Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong and other stakeholders in the state have commended the role being played by JAY FM Radio Station in Jos towards ensuring free, fair and credible poll during the forthcoming 2019 General Elections.
Correspondent JAMES ABRAHAM reports that the Governor spoke against the background of the recent Town Hall meeting organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in collaboration with JAY FM which held at the Azi Nyako Youth Centre in Jos.
The Town Hall Meeting was meant to sensitize the people on the activities of INEC and what is expected of the stakeholders in the state as the country moves towards the 2019 election year.
Governor Lalong who spoke through his Special Adviser on Non Governmental Organization , Irimiya Werr , commended JAY FM for its positive contribution to the development of Plateau state and Nigeria at large, describing the Town Hall meeting as a step in the right direction.
Similarly, other stakeholders who also expressed happiness with the Town Hall Meeting and the successes recorded included, the Nigerian Bar Association, the National Orientation Agency, the Plateau Youth Council, Nigerian Union of Journalists among others including the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in the State, Mallam Husaini Pai, who urged JAY FM to keep up the good work in the task of nation building.
