Mutfwang presents 2024 appropriation bill to Plateau Assembly

Plateau state Governor, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang today presented a budget estimate of over two hundred and ninety-five billion naira for the 2024 appropriation budget before members of the Plateau state House of Assembly.

While making the budget presentation during plenary at the state house in Jos, the governor specified that the budget is aimed at laying a solid foundation for peace and to better the lives of Plateau Citizens.

Keshia Jang reports the budget has a recurrent component of over one hundred and fifty-two billion naira with a Capital cost of over one hundred and thirty-seven billion naira, representing 46.6 percent of the budget.

Also, during plenary, the house moved a motion for the appointment of Mr. Samuel Umaru to replace Mr. Istifanus John as the transition Chairman for Jos North and a six-month extension tenure to the 17 Local Government transition Chairmen.

In the meantime, all members of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, were absent during the presentation with no valid permission or reason as stated by the minority Leader of the House, Honorable Gabriel Dewan.
