Written by on July 10, 2024

The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Kaduna State chapter, has suspended its warning strike.

The association made this known in a statement by its Chairman, Ishaku Yahaya, on Monday.

The union says it arrived at the decision to suspend the strike following a level of seriousness and commitment made by the government through the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Head of Service and the Commissioner for Health which resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.

Yahaya further says the strike, which started on July 8, 2024 to press home their demands for an improved welfare package, recorded a huge success and 100 per cent compliance.
