National Youth Development Project: Uniting Youths Through Football

Designed to massively mobilize the youths and strategically campaign for peace and unity within Nigeria, the National Youth Development Project (NYPD) is packaged to cash into the enthusiasm and passion of football with its unifying factor and crowd gathering factor to re-orientate the minds of the youths to shun violence in all its ramifications while embracing nation building and wealth creation.
The project runs simultaneously in all the thirty six (36) states of the federation including the FCT, starting from the local governments to the state and culminating in Abuja.
NYPD is set to reach, win and mobilize Nigerian youths in building a peaceful nation where everyone can pursue their dreams without discrimination.The soccer tournaments will run across all length and breadth of Nigeria starting from the LGAs to the National level. There’ll be preliminaries at the state level, starting from the Local governments. The champions at the state level will contest for the zonal ticket across the six (6) geopolitical zones; the zonal winners will meet at the national level in Abuja for the finals. The national team will play a novelty march with the Nigeria in diaspora team at the main bow of the national stadium in Abuja note that this project is fully endorsed by the Nigeria Football Federation, the Senate committee for Youths, ALGON and others.
