Plateau Government receives NBC delegation on courtesy visit

Plateau State Governor, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, has received a delegation of the National Broadcasting Commission NBC, on a courtesy visit led by the commission’s Director General, Mallam Balarabe Shehu Ilelah.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau, the governor received Ilelah alongside his management staff today at the government house accompanied by top government officials.
The NBC boss who congratulated the governor over his victory at the governorship polls noted some key Areas of concern to both the commission and the Plateau State government which include the Digital switch over DSO project, the commission’s flagship biennial conference for broadcasters in Africa tagged AFRICAST, the improvement of the commission’s Jos zonal office infrastructure among other things.
Speaking with our correspondent Joan Davou, Mallam Ilelah asserted that Plateau State, being the pioneer of the pilot scheme for the free digital TV back in 2016, has been chosen by the federal government to first implement the Digital switch over.
On his part, the SSG appreciated the commission for choosing Plateau as the pilot state for the DSO implementation adding that the state government will partner the commission to achieve a set goal.
