The Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Plateau State command have said that investigation is still ongoing in regards the raid of three fast food outlets located at Lamingo, Rantya state Low Cost as well as a Lounge, within the Jos Metropolis on Friday 23rd April.
According to sources, the raid was in connection with the alleged “Brownie Cannabis Sativa Cakes (Indian Hemp Cakes)” that are produced and sold at the three eateries. A staff of one of the outlets who confirmed the raid to JAYFM, said that the NDLEA inspected its facility and search it after which they went away with some chocolate and red velvet cakes and one of there staff.
Meanwhile, The NDLEA is yet to confirm if the cakes are laced with Cannabis Sativa (Indian Hemp) but a customer who patronized one of the affected fast-food outlets recently said that, he ate one of the Brownies and it all most cost him his life saying he slept off while driving and hit someone’s car in the process. This development has led citizens to call on the appropriate authorities to put in stringent measures in order to curtail the activities of such individuals who try to take advantage of innocent citizens.
