Reports have it that the NLC president, Joe Ajaero, alongside other labour leaders have assembled to begin the action.

Other officials such as the National President of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, Muhammed Ibrahim, representatives of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, National Union of Road Transport Workers among others are currently at the location to protest the increment in fuel price and failure of the President Bola Tinubu administration to reverse some of the policies which the NLC tags as unfriendly and anti-poor.
