The North Central Development Commission, Establishment Bill, 2024 has scaled third reading.

The bill, which was read for the second time in February 2024, was passed today after the committee on special duties presented its report on the 2024 NCDC bill before the house.

The commission, when established, would be saddled with the responsibility of receiving and managing funds from the federal government and donors for the resettlement, rehabilitation, integration and reconstruction of roads, houses and business premises of victims of flood and farmers/herders’ clashes.
