NULGE Plateau State embarks on indefinite strike as Police Command orders reopening of Local Government secretariats

The Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, Plateau State Chapter has declared an indefinite strike action commencing Midnight of Sunday; that is yesterday 27th August. According to the union, the move became imperative to guarantee the security of their staff who have been caught in the Local Government Executive leadership tussle across the 17 Local Government Areas of Plateau State.
The Union further states that the decision was as a result of the uncertainties following the press statement issued by the Nigerian Police Force, Plateau State Command granting access to the suspended Local Government Executives.
NULGE, Plateau state made this known via a letter signed by its secretary Sa’ad Abdulmumuni and addressed to the Honorable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,Chief Ephraim Usman.
