Operation Safe Haven hands over recovered weapons to National Centre for the control of small arms and light weapons

The Commander of the Operation Safe Haven in Plateau state, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar has handed over recovered weapons by troops of the command to the National Centre for the control of small Arms and Light weapons.
Our correspondent Keshia Jang reports that this took place during a news briefing and exhibition of weapons at the Headquarters of Operation Safe Haven in Jos.
General Abubakar reiterates that as security agencies, they have taken an oath to defend the country and protect lives and properties of citizens, devoid of sentiments as well as to be fair, just and treat all equally.
Accepting the recovered weapons, the North Central Coordinator, Major General Hamza Bature who represented the National Coordinator, National centre for the control of arms and light weapons, Major General Mohammed Diko commends the efforts of STF saying that, it was the second time the command would hand over weapons recovered from criminals.
Weapons recovered from criminal elements are 29 Dane guns, 53 fabricated rifles, 28 AK-47 magazines, 3 locally fabricated magazines, 6 cartridge ammunition, 1,522 rounds of ammunitions, among others.
