PDP consoles former Governor Emeka Ihedioha on mother’s death

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has commiserated with the former Governor of Imo State and former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha, on the death of his mother and Matriarch of the Ihedioha Family, Dame Ihedioha.

In a statement by its spokesman, Debo Ologunagba, the PDP notes that Dame Ihedioha was a graceful, peaceful, friendly, cheerful and exceptionally kind lady; who deeply cared for the wellbeing and happiness of others and lived as.

The PDP says it believes that Rt, Honorable Ihedioha’s commitment to duty towards the stability and growth of the Party, the development of Imo State and the Nation at large stems from the virtues imparted in him by his mother.

Connectedly, a veteran journalist and one of Nigeria’s most celebrated columnists, Peter Enahoro, is dead.

Enahoro, popularly known by his pen name, Peter Pan, died in London, the United Kingdom on Monday, aged 88.

The development was announced in a brief statement by Nigeria’s foremost female journalist, Miss Bunmi Sofola.

The deceased columnist is one of the pioneers of Nigerian journalism and became editor of the Daily Times at a young age.
