Honorable Nuhu Abok has resumed office as speaker of the Plateau state House of Assembly following his reinstatement yesterday.
A member of the state Legislature Honorable Fom Dalyop who spoke to JayFm on the matter says Honorable Ayuba resumed office at about 10am today amidst wild jubilation.
A high court sitting in Jos declared the impeachment of Abok as illegal, null and void.
The presiding Judge, Justice M. L. Musa, of High Court 6, therefore, reinstated him on that ground.
Anti-Tinubu passenger aboard an Abuja-Lagos flight, Obiajulu Uja, has been arraigned before the Zuba Magistrates’ Court, Abuja and remanded in prison custody.
His lawyer, Ejike Ugwu, disclosed this to journalists.
Uja was on Friday evening carried off a Lagos-Abuja flight, after he started a lone protest, demanding that the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, must never be sworn in as president on May 29.
In the viral video that made the rounds on Saturday, it took the efforts of no fewer than six airport security officers to evacuate him after holding up the aircraft for more than an hour, as the 6pm flight had yet to move as of 7pm.
A copy of the charge sheet sighted by journalists shows that Uja was charged with public nuisance, resistance to a lawful arrest, threatening violence and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace contrary to sections 396, 267,188,172 and 144 of the Penal Code Law.
Meanwhile, Mr. Oyakhilome Bello, APC U.S.A National Youth Leader, is calling on the American President, Joe Biden, to defend Nigeria’s democracy from those calling for an Interim National Government or military takeover.
According to a statement today in Abuja, Bello made the call at a rally organised by the APC U.S.A chapter under the leadership of Professor Adesegun Labinjo, held at Washington DC.
He says the rally was to counter a protest, organised by some individuals from the opposition camp, to protest the outcome of Nigeria’s February 25 presidential election and the emergence of Bola Tinubu as President-elect.
