Plateau House of Assembly members call on govt to reform sectors

The member representing Jos north north constituency Hon Adamu Aliyu in the state house of assembly has called on the Plateau state government to authorize the Plateau state ministry of Health and other relevant agencies to check the alarming activities of quack Health practitioners and unregistered medical facilities within the state.

Hon Aliyu moving the motion during plenary chaired by the speaker Hon Moses Sule in Jos states that the call is necessary following the recent incident of a lady who was operated on sometime in 2018 with her right kidney illegally removed in the course of the surgery.

While the member representing Langtang North North, Hon Nannim Langyi calls on the Plateau state government to urgently revive the Technical and vocational education in  Plateau.

Langyi adds that the state government through the state’s ministry of science and technology had established a parastatal under the ministry called Relevant Technology Board with six training centers across the state which has suffered neglect hence needs government intervention.

Also during plenary the member representing Langtang North Central, Hon Nanbol Rimvyet calls on the senator representing Plateau North Senatorial zone to re-introduce the Bill for the establishment of the North-central Development Commission.

He stresses that with the level of insecurity facing the states in the North-central,the bill which was denied passage by the 9th assembly should be re-introduced to address all issues faced in the region.

Speaking with Jayfm after plenary the House committee for Information, Hon Ibrahim Agbalak commended the stable and unifying leadership skills of the speaker, Hon Moses Sule as the 10th assembly marks hundred days in office.
