Plateau State assembly calls on Governor Mutfwang to direct reversal of auctions on buildings, lands by local government council

The adhoc committee investigating the petition boarding on financial impropriety calls on the Governor of Plateau state, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang to direct the reversal of all auctions on buildings and lands carried out by all local government council involved. 

Chairman of the committee, Honourable Pirfa Tyem stated this while reading the report on the investigation during plenary at the Plateau state House of Assembly in Jos. He said from the investigation carried out, there was no proper documentation on how money in most of the Local Governments were spent or can be accounted for.

Also member representing Shendam, Honourable, Livinus James raised a matter of urgent attention as he called on the government and State Emergency Management Agency SEMA, to intervene on the collapsed bridges that led to a flooding which washing away farm lands preventing farmers from crossing to neighboring villages to carry out their daily farming activities. Similarly, Honourable Daniel Nanbol noted that the state government should fund SEMA regularly to enable the agency carry out the humanitarian functions to the people as well as work with National Orientation Agency to create awareness to the public. The house also screened and confirmed Right Honourable John Bull as Chairman of the Plateau state House of Assembly Service Commission alongside six other members.
