Restriction of Movement for Jos/Bassa Federal Constituency and Pankshin South bye-elections

In line with the plans by the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct bye-election for the Jos/Bassa Federal Constituency and the Pankshin South State Constituency on 26th February 2022, the Executive Governor of Plateau State has approved the restriction of movement within the respective constituencies.

Therefore, all vehicular movements will not be allowed in the affected areas from 12:00 Midnight of Friday 25th February 2022 to 6pm on Saturday 26th February 2022.

Only persons on essential duties will be exempted from the restriction. Citizens are advised to adhere to this directive as relevant security agencies have been directed to ensure compliance.

The Governor also calls on all eligible voters to come out and exercise their franchise without fear or intimidation as necessary security arrangements have been put in place to ensure that the exercise goes without hitches.
