Revamping Land Administration in Plateau State: A Collaborative Endeavor

Plateau State is actively addressing land administration challenges with a high-powered committee led by Barrister Isaac Dimka under the Caleb Mutfwang administration. Engaging key stakeholders, including traditional rulers like Royal Highness Adagwom Izere, HRH Da Emmmanaual Ajik , the committee aims to foster effective land management practices.

Discussions highlighted concerns over past neglect, emphasizing the urgency for government intervention, particularly regarding the abandoned Sheraton Hotel and encroachments around the Jos wildlife park. Stakeholders were reassured of a commitment to fostering a peaceful and harmonious Plateau.

In a comprehensive effort to address the pressing land administration challenges in Plateau State, the high-powered committee, led by prominent officials, recently engaged with key stakeholders, including former Director of Abuja Development Control, Mr. Martins Garba, engagements with stakeholders like Mr. Martins Garba emphasized the importance of adhering to development plans and addressing challenges promptly, considering issues like the overwhelmed state of the Jos Metropolitan Development Board (JMDB) and sustainability concerns regarding borehole drilling and land tenure systems.

The collaborative efforts underscore a commitment to revamp land administration practices in Plateau State, with stakeholders working together to unlock the plateau’s full potential.
